How Your Financial Support Helps

Because the Peace of Heart Choir entertains such an ambitious mission of performing free-of-charge for the community, the costs of running, developing, and supporting the people and structure of the choir are necessarily funded by generous donations from people in the outside community. Expenses range from small needs like photocopies of music to larger costs like email and website maintenance, computer programs to facilitate musical arrangement and composition, transportation, and dues scholarships for members. The Choir also hopes to expand the budget to include paid, full-time officers to reduce the workload on our members, who range from full-time students to around the clock businessmen and women and everything in between.

The Peace of Heart Choir performs one public concert per season as a fundraiser, to enable all members of the community to experience and support our music and mission. We also collect $40 per season in dues from our members who can afford to pay, and we award scholarships to those who cannot. At times, members are able to donate services they have access to or absorb costs they may incur. These small activities aid in our need for funds, but it is corporate involvement, private donations and grants that make upholding our mission (specifically, the commitment to performing free of charge for those who need it) possible, particularly in light of increased demand for our musical services. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated and utilized to the maximum in our organization.
