For Peace of Heart Supporters

You could lend us a hand in the following ways...

• Fundraising: need people to assist our Fundraising Coordinator with fundraising duties.
• Public Relations & Community Outreach: need people to assist our PR & Community Outreach Coordinator in:
  • Setting up press contacts for publicity
  • Posting our Peace of Heart fliers, available in many languages
  • Assisting with disseminating information about the choir in various NYC communities
  • Assisting with publicizing auditions and attracting new members
  • Assisting with coordinating performance offers from organizations and events
• Assistant Performance Coordinator: Helps coordinate member sign-ups for performances by email and telephone.
• Assistant Social Coordinator(s): plans fun events, outings, and retreats for the choir on a regular basis. Events in the past have included apple picking, potluck dinners, karaoke singing, pizza parties, and concerts by other choirs/groups.
• Choir Photographer: assists with taking pictures of choir at area performances, events, rehearsals, retreats, and fun outings. We don't currently have regular access to a camera, but it's important for us to document what we do with pictures. If you like to take pictures, we'd love to have them - amateur or pro, digital, film, or even disposable cameras would be great.
• CD burners: assist with making copies of choir rehearsal and performance CDs, as well as New Member Orientation CDs.
• Phone callers: people to make phone calls and/or leave voicemail messages with important announcements and choir information for members who don't have access to email.
• New Member Orientation Coordinator: coordinates orientations for new members, including making sure new members have all copies of music; possibly setting up a buddy system for new members, so they have someone to contact in case of questions.
• Website Assistant(s): help keep the information on our website up to date.
