Take Us Out to the Ballgame
On June 25, 2017, the Peace of Heart Choir performed the Star Spangled Banner for the season opener of the New York Yankees' minor league affiliate, the Staten Island Yankees. Before we sang inside the ballpark, we performed a short set outside the ball park.
Singing for Hope at the Port Authority's renovated south wing
On March 8, 2017, the choir performed at the Sing for Hope stage perched between the 1st and 2nd floor of the NYC Port Authority Terminal's renovated South Wing. Sing for Hope is an organization that seeks to transform lives by bringing the power of the arts to those who need it most.
9/11 national memorial & museum
The choir has performed several times at the September 11th National Memorial & Museum. We've done so not only at public open-air events, near the reflecting pools at the site, but also for specific events held for 9/11 first responders and their families. We last performed there on May 30, 2017.
NEW YORK SOCIETY FOR ETHICAL CULTURE
The New York Society for Ethical Culture (NYSEC) and its members support solution actions to many of the key social issues of our times through activism, community service, and financial support. On September 11, 2016 the choir performed at the NYSEC event, 9/11 After 15 Years - A Reflection.
international peace vigil
The vigil was first observed in 1982 and it was set to be observed September 11, 2001, however, it was changed that year to September 21st instead, in light of the events of 9/11. The Peace of Heart Choir performed at the vigil September 22, 2015
